What the dog does
Your canine companion automatically brings downed ducks to you. The dog's stat spread determines how quickly it can fetch ducks from the pond.
Fetch speed
Faster fetch speed means ducks land in the Freezer sooner. This is the most direct lever for shortening the day and increasing Cash.
Collection range
Higher collection range lets the dog travel further to retrieve ducks you knocked down at distance — useful for sniper play.
Movement speed
Faster movement helps the dog reach the next duck while you aim your next shot, smoothing cluster fights.
Capacity
Higher capacity lets the dog bring several ducks back in one run, reducing trips and steady-ing the Cash flow.
Balanced fetch + range first
A dog with balanced fetch speed and range is usually the best first upgrade for new players, since both directly shorten the day.
Cosmetics are cosmetic-only
Dog costumes (duck outfit, Rex-style) are bought for Feathers but are cosmetic-only. Don't spend Feathers on cosmetics before your combat dog is upgraded.
